Digging out

The men took off early this morning in the cat dozer, the tractor leading the cattle back to pasture 6 miles away, and the backhoe following. KC was on her horse to urge the procession on. If you look closely in the picture you can see 2 roadgraders in the background clearing the county road.
Last night, George had to pull the truck the length of one county road through the drifts....the tracks were too deep for the truck to follow in. This morning, they had to pull the fuel truck into our driveway, then out when he was ready to leave. Tomorrow the propane man is coming ...at daylight to beat the next storm.
Our cell phone tower is still out...probably a result of the snow and high winds. There were gusts reported up to 100 mph. Semi trucks blew over on the interstate and the past 3 days the roads were closed more than open. We have blue sky today
