Camping

When  you get this many kids together, they are so busy being silly that it is hard to get a good picture.
This is some better, but some of the kids are missing.
Pancakes for breakfast.  No one would touch these at home with the burned grill color!

Yumm!
Grandpa taking the kids and the dog on a walk.
Clayton  and Caden doing what 10 year old boys do....
 Checking out Larkin's new camera.
 Cousin time.

Such a sweet time!

First you choose two hard candys of your favorite flavor....
The machine melts them and spins and makes strands of 'cotton candy"
Grandpa G was getting pretty good by the time it was all over!
It was pretty much a community project.
The pictures didn't come together in the order I wanted, but the main idea is here.

This December when I get my blog printed into a book, it will be fun to look back and remember these days.

Summer days with Grandma and Grandpa...

Jeff and Lisa are going out of town for a cattle sale, so we kidnapped the kids for a few days!  Fun times!  Moisture plus wind on the top of the  mountain makes these pancake type clouds.
The bicycle built for two!  Number three wishing it was built for three.
Now Larkin gets a turn.
 Checking out Grama's little greenhouse.
 Listening and learning.

Lots of snow still on July Fourth!

I tried to put this picture on the top of my blog, but blogger selected a part of it.  Click twice.
There is more snow on top of the mountain, and also along the cliffs above the Double Eight this  year.  The snow on top of the mountain will probably last all summer.

Just off Rattlesnake Road....

Chris's dog got bit by this snake this morning.   When Chris saw it, he shouted to lay down, but Dot lay down right by the snake, which reared up and bit her by the eye. Kate, the boys and I took Dot to the vet where she will stay a few days. Here are the rattles, which are about the largest we have ever seen.

This was one of the bigger snakes we have ever seen.

Watching and learning...

Grandpa has lot of things to do with the trackhoe.  Today's job was to move the propane tank out of the lawn and across the fence.  Hazen and Fischer are supervising the job.

The propane man provided the sling to hoist it over the fence.
