Around the ranch...

Still snow in the Snowy Range...
If you click on this picture, you can see a line of cattle strung out along a fence several miles east of the house. They trailed them home 5 miles, starting before daylight as it has been getting SO HOT during the day! Good thing we don't have much traffic....they are having a pop break in the middle of the county road.

A beautiful morning...

Beside the road....

This is NOT a National Geographic shot...this is a Chris photo just down the road from his house! A mountain lion is a real athlete! He is planning his next move here. ...a camera with a good zoom brings the lion up close....too close, maybe!

The day began much the same as most days, just driving along, seeing what you always see. Then came a call from Keith, "There's a mountain lion running along the road out here!" So off they went, stopping first to get the camera.

They zoomed in on him running along. This is near Chris and Kate's house. About 3 months ago, they had a mountain lion on their deck. I remember the date because she went into premature labor and had to go to the hospital overnight. Dusty was born the next week.

Fun with the grandkids!

Sunday afternoon picnic. Chris and his "cowboys".
Posing with Tom.

They took a walk off the mountain...

Allison and Larkin are having fun "crafting" with the things Grandma picked up the other day.

Picking out fabric and cutting out patterns for doll dresses.
The boys picking tomatoes in Grandma's greenhouse.

Watching Grandpa unload the Ranger from a safe distance.
