End of May

Talee and Elizabeth on branding day at Elk Mountain.
Spring concert time. Chris's boys were all in the same program.
Amy french braided my hair for the cardiac ablation procedure on May 24. They don't want you to have any metal hairpins in your hair.
George and I talking to family and telling them it was over and everything was fine now. The surgery was at a cardiac hospital in Ogden.
May 25 an 2014 model 18x80 single wide trailer for Kalee and Colton. It was a repossession from North Dakota for $20,000. We thought that was a great deal.
Last day of school for Rory and Jace. Sure was nice to spend a couple of days at their house. Jeremy was gone to Switzerland for work this week.
We have been waiting for spring for so long. It is great to see these colorful tulips.
May 27. Jeff's family spent the night on their way to Krista Hansons wedding this weekend in Salt Lake. The girls helped me put lady bugs out in the greenhouse. We are trying to get ahead of the aphids.
There were some dead bugs in the sack of 4000.
We took our annual Memorial Day drive over the Snowy Range. Lots of snow still to melt.
Chris and his family embraced the snow more than we did!
Jeff and Lisa and family spent a couple of nights at Jerm and Amy's in Utah before and after Krista Hansens wedding.
They took a hike up to the Snowbasin ski area. There are a lot of trails for walking and biking.
Kate took this cute picture of Dusty helping at a branding over near Pathfinder Dam area. He takes his job very seriously!
Some folks moved to Rawlins from Mexico. They speak no English. They are of the same faith we are, so we go up and have a study with them once a week.  A lady from 150 miles away comes to interpret.  I guess they are seeking a better life.
Little kids don't have the language barrier. They just smile and play. Spanish or English, it doesn't matter!
Kate went to town for the day and some of the kids went irrigating with Chris. He got stuck in the Ranger, they walked home through the mud and water and got quite muddy. Their cousin is visiting (on the left. ). They had to shed their muddy clothes on the deck and head directly to the shower.....and wash, and wash!!

May 21

George hauled people to the top of Sheep Mountain. They walked off.
Lots of elk horns today.

Chet found a big one. They are really heavy.

More May

Karen and Dave are on a grownup field trip up north. I think it is about economic development representing the town of Lusk.
One of my favorite places!
Fischer and his first science fair project. On sourdough bread risings with different types of starters.
George caught this low rainbow today. Usually they make a high bow in the sky. The moisture must have been coming off the meadow.
Busy fixing the ditch above Chris's house. If it ever washes out it is a major project. George hauled cement and placed it in the susceptible area. It took the excavator, the backhoe, and dump truck. And me, to ferry him back and forth!
View from Sheep Mtn towards home tonight.
The Snowy Range Road will be open for Memorial Day. Laramie and Saratoga rotary plows met at Lake Marie yesterday.

We stayed a night with kids and grandkids. Here is an early morning visit with Grandpa G.
The mountains behind the house are beautiful.

Mothers Day May 8

Trying to pose for a nice picture.
Now they got it๐Ÿ˜€. We had a nice Mother's Day lunch with them. No one came out this Sunday morning because of the roads.

May 1 -7

The Double Eight had to dig a path through the snow to move their cattle.
The guys found a rattlesnake den on Sheep Mtn. Now what to do about it?
This mangy moose was watching George irrigate.
Elizabeth came to visit and dropped her cowgirl clothes in a pile by the door.
Dusty rode 2 miles from his house to mine. His brothers brought band aids to patch him up when he wrecked. He had enjoyed a red Popsicle before the bike ride.

Remember this is my journal that I print up each January, so I record events for future reference.
I've had very few sick times in my life, so any downtime is a bad surprise for me!I spent a night in the hospital after my heart got to beating 180 plus beats per minute. They had to give me medicine that stopped my heart, then it started up 99 beats per minute. Then got slower.

April 30-May 1

Earl North passed away. He is married to Kathy's Aunt Ethel. He was 95.
Corbin and Talee had a Dr Suess birthday party.
The piรฑata was literally a big "hit"! All the kids got to whack it at least once.

The scene May 1 going to meeting at the Double Eight.
We rescued 2 college girls driving a car. They rode to Willis's with us. We had about a half hour ordeal getting them out and on their way home. It involved mud, snow, pushing forward and backward.
The calves there are having some storm induced sickness.
Grandma Sundin turns 83 Tuesday. Jeff's family celebrated with her Sunday. Wish we could have been there. This was at the union meeting house.
