Shipping Days are about over...

Grandpa G had such a good idea for the truckers, he tied it to the post, but the Wyoming wind overpowered his tie strap....I guess that is what happened. We didn't find anyone inside! Heading out full...
Having a break and watching dad from a safe distance.

Getting acquainted with dad's horse.

A good friend visiting, and your "own" water bottle, makes a guy
really happy!!

Getting ready....

George and Chris mounted the fire hose on the skidsteer bucket to spray the corrals. The fire pump sits in the creek. Holding that hose and spraying for hours has been a backbreaking job in the past, so this year.....use the brain and save the back! Chris's arm is in a cast, and George messed his back up a couple of weeks ago, so it was a necessity. Now they won't have to breathe in manure-y dust .
These are Chris's helpers...Will Work for Food... Sheep Mtn in the background..

Elk Mtn...

Grpa G getting ready for 64 plus cattle trucks over the next week. Probably 12 trucks per day...they start showing up the night before and are parked all along the county road. I hope they bring food with them as there are no McDonalds anywhere near. Kate and I feed the owners, their partners, the buyers, the brand inspector, and whoever else comes along for the excitement.

Of trucks and cattle...

Today was the first day of the yearling shipping. This was at Encampment. In the yard waiting to load.

How much do they weigh?? Oh, that's GREAT!!

This was kind of a neat angle on the trucks waiting to load cattle. they stayed out on the county road until it was their turn to go into the yard.

It might have been on this bait! There are plenty of them!

Scott and Chet enjoying the morning light...they have a nice porch for rocking and visiting.
