Getting ready....

George and Chris mounted the fire hose on the skidsteer bucket to spray the corrals. The fire pump sits in the creek. Holding that hose and spraying for hours has been a backbreaking job in the past, so this year.....use the brain and save the back! Chris's arm is in a cast, and George messed his back up a couple of weeks ago, so it was a necessity. Now they won't have to breathe in manure-y dust .

Elk Mtn...

Grpa G getting ready for 64 plus cattle trucks over the next week. Probably 12 trucks per day...they start showing up the night before and are parked all along the county road. I hope they bring food with them as there are no McDonalds anywhere near. Kate and I feed the owners, their partners, the buyers, the brand inspector, and whoever else comes along for the excitement.
