February 23

I thought this was a cute picture of Dusty at piano lessons.
Mrs Blake, the boys piano teacher, knit this sweater for Elizabeth. That was really special.
George is filling a lamp base with shells. Raining hard. Windy.
Karen, Dave, Mom, and George picked these up last week.
Nice place to work.
A tornado has been sighted 5 miles away "take cover immediately" so we are sitting in the walkin closet.

February 20

They had such terrible winds all over the state of Wyoming and Nebraska. Trucks blowing over, power out, Scott had wind damage to his house.
Something is turned over in front of this outfit also.
My Florida garden. Tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce. I couldn't see all that sunshine going to waste!!

Boating to Rum Bay

HRiding the water taxi over to Palm Island to Rum Bay Restaurant.
The ride back was cool. We were glad we had our coats.
George and Ty headed out to go fishing.
This guy was right west of Chris's house this morning. Glad he didn't eat any kids!

More good times.

Frost on the car roof. It was 36 on the thermometer.
Ty and Ingrid came next. Feb 12.
Sad sad news that our friend Larry Wilhoit drowned while snorkeling in Aruba. He was 67 and our niece in law's father.
We went to Sanibel directly from the airport.

So many shells. The Red Tide, an algae bloom, kills shell animals so many are washing up on the beach.

2nd week of February

Chris is plowing deep snow windrows to catch the snow from the next storm.
Chris had to snowblow the county road as the kids couldn't get to the bus, except to walk across some big snowdrifts.
George getting ready for company. They are coming in a few days. Feb 10.
Karen and mom at RSW.
We stopped at the power plant in Ft Myers. It is cold, in the 60's so the manatees are all gathering in the warm waters of the power plant.
