This was one of the ruins at the Mayan Ruins we visited at Dzibilchaltunn in the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico.
This next shot is the ball hoop for the game where they bumped the rubber ball through the hoop with their hips or elbows. The captain of the winning team was beheaded... according to the guide, he thought that was a great honor, because he went straight to heaven!! It was "almost" too hot for us northerners!
