January 2015-first half

Starting the New Year off right......we left on New Year's Day heading west.  My mom went with us and we had such a nice time as usual!  http://bloomerestates.com/property/first-mates-cottage/
This is the road leading to the First Mates Cottage.  We weren't there when they saw this bear.

The view from the deck.  The crab boats were our day and night.  One night George counted 24 lights as the boats went back and forth.
The camellia bush by the front door.  Blooming in January!!  So not what we are used to!
Mom and George and I walked out behind the house to dig for clams.  It was a great evening.

Checking out You Tube for cleaning and cooking instructions.
                                                             One limit = 15 clams.
5 seconds in boiling water pops them open.
Clamming way out on the low tide.
                                                        The flowers were so pretty!

George repaired the fire ring.  Chipped out the old brick and added new metal ring and cement.
                                                                 View from the house.

George didn't like this couch in the newest vacation rental, so ordered a new one.
                            http://bloomerestates.com/property/hidden-treasure/ is the address.
Nick has a laser cutter for the vinyl wall words, so fabricated them and put them up.
The name of the rental is Hidden Treasure.
                                                          New wall décor, new couches.
Even got some time to go fishing with his friend Dave.
                                                       Ilwaco harbor.  Very picturesque!
Visiting over breakfast in the motel on the way home.
