Photos from my house....

The sunrise is late these days, but well worth waiting for!! These pictures are taken in back of the house.

Cloudy mornings make beautiful sunrises!

This was taken out my front window...many elk!!

A mangy coyote...

In the old westerns, the gunfighters would shout..."You mangy coyote"....at their enemy! Well, here is a REAL mangy coyote! Their fur falls off, and they die of the cold. I believe that some kind of a bug spreads the disease...we hope our dogs don't catch it. There is medicine if they do.

Following the herd...

We found at least 400 in this herd of elk a couple miles from the house this afternoon.

They seem to form a line that goes on and on....

There are quite a few bulls mixed in with the cows.

Snowy Sunday morning

2 families had to cancel this morning because of roads and snow. Slick highways towards Laramie, and 4-6" at Encampment. The cat outside looking in... My wood wagon...
More snow...

Late fall pictures....

The clouds today have rainbows along the edges...maybe you can see them if you click. I looked it up and it is ice crystals in the cirrus clouds (caused by wind). The crystals are large enough to refract the light rather than scatter it. The way the wind is blowing, I am sure the snow is going straight up into the clouds!!The other day, the snow came with such force from the side, that it drove the snow into the pine trees...kind of pretty!

We have had some beautiful sunrises...

These deer were outlined on the skyline...

I brought them up close with the zoom.

This fellow was posing.

He looks good coming AND going!
