It sounded like a bomb went off in the yard. After the storm passed, we checked out the damage. The lightning hit a tree by the guest house. It blew bark pieces everywhere for 40 feet or more. It dug a hole at the base of the tree, burned electric cords in half, tripped breakers, but didn't permenantely damage anything.
