On Grandpa's pond...

Grpa checking the turnip crop. They are growing in rich soil dug out of the bottom of the fish pond. I may plant my garden up there next year!

Grandpa planted fish in the pond so the grandkids could catch some... Chris is giving fishing lessons to F and H. Grandpa G is trying to give flyfishing lessons to Grandma S! He is trying to get the reel to wind up right.

Here is an innocent bystander....he had lots of brothers floating around on top of the moss. He was a beautiful froggy green!

Nice work!

F and H got a little bored with the lesson, so had to explore a bit.

Now dad has a fly line in his hand.

I'm sorry I wasn't there to get in on the fly fishing lesson, Susie. That is as long as George is a patient teacher. :-) Turnips and fishing...that sounds like a good mix. Those are nice big turnips. Looks like a good time is being had by all. Linda

There's a FACE on that one turnip! That'd be nice if you could grow some garden back there.
