Helping Grandpa out....literally!

We are having the MOST flooding that this area has seen since 1957, but the work still must go on. Grandpa G was taking mineral to the cattle when he found, quite by accident, that they had tromped this gate out pretty deep, then it filled with water and washed away the dirt. He called me on the cell phone,walked to the road over a mile, we came home and got the 4 wheel drive tractor for the rescue operation....then Gramasusie, who doesn't like to get her feet muddy, had to drive the Ranger back through all the water to the county road! The water running onto the floorboards washed the mud out from the "stuck in the mud" episode! Oh yes, he warned me wear your tallest rubber boots!! Luckily, Grpa had some shoulder length plastic gloves in the truck so he could hook the chain up under water.

Notice the clouds. We have had lots of rain every day this past week.

Mission accomplished!!
