Gravel Travel

The cousins are at just the right age to have tons of fun together whatever they may be doing.

J and A took the 4 wheeler

We had 3 vehicles heading to the mountains.

Over the river and through the woods.

Hiking over to a fishing pond.  They caught some brookies.

Back side of Medicine Bow Peak.

A man and his dog.

Moose crossing the road on the Snowy range right in front of the car. He didn't seem to bothered by all the people.

Jaces birthday

Oh my!! A birthday cake with ice cream sandwiches, coolwhip, chopped up candy.........

At the Mexican restaurant for supper they sang happy birthday and put a fancy hat on his head.  He was totally shocked!

R made this mouse out of little rubber bands.  The first cast, a big fish grabbed it and broke the line off.

Dads like to fish too.

Sheep Mtn picnic.

J driving the Ranger

R drove on the way home.  Have to divide everything up equally!

In the garden

Pico de Gallo with fresh tomatoes, peppers, and onions from the garden.

We are getting vegged out trying to keep up with all the produce.
First time to grow cantelope!

Lots of helpers.
Looking for strawberries.

Heading to the house with the harvest.

Home grown carrots are the sweetest.

Small but tasty!

Back at the Ranch

Getting ready for hunting season.  E wants to do what dad and the boys do.

10 years ago Geo performed the wedding ceremony for these two.  Congratulations!

Clayton and his summer job.  He learned lots and had lots of fun new experiences.

C got to rope in a ranch rodeo at the county fair.  Got his picture on the front page of the paper.
Clayton's birthday was the day he got kicked in the face.  A lucky horse shoe for the cake.  I guess the good luck that day was they could stitch him up and it wasn't worse.  He spent hours in the ER then came directly from there to gospel meeting and a birthday party that night.
Ouch!!  More stitches inside the cheek than outside.

Clayton got kicked in the face by a horse, then got an infection (doctors won't give antibiotics now till you are dripping infection! ) so had to have IV antibiotics, then pills for 10 days.

Nephew Ty and Ingrid got married.  We couldn't go, had company and 20 for lunch the next day, and the reception was too far away.

Elizabeth checking the garden in the greenhouse.

I think the frog is in mid jump in this picture.  So fun to have the cousins visit!

Back to school

Mom was escorting them for the first morning.

The Lusk kids get to have their grandpa for their bus driver!  Lucky them!
Chet is in first, Chase in preschool.

Vacation Over

Last bonfire.

Last evening walk to the beach.

Beautiful.
Getting ready to leave.
Buddy just likes to go along, so he puts up with crowded quarters.  He did not say, are we about there yet?  even once!!

Thinking about driving home 18 hours!!

The kite festival coming up next week.

A light house a couple miles away.
