Catching up...

Fischer turned 3 yesterday.. The east side of the mountain was WINDY! The clouds were rolling off the top of the mountain. This was taken out of the fire hall where we were for a retirement lunch for one of the neighbors..

The kids enjoyed seeing the firemen's outfits

..and sitting in the fire truck.

Last week we made a trip 12 hours east and saw more of our family. This is Rory.

Grpa G and Rory unpackaging a garbage truck.

Jace and Jerm doing the same. Several parents of "town kids" say their kids have a fascination with the garbage truck. They like to act out what they see. Country kids act out farming and horse riding because that is what they see that seems exciting. The ranch accountant said his two boys wanted to be garbage men when they grew up. They have since changed their minds and have graduated from college!

This was the scene going to Grandma's house the other day. If you click on the picture, the sign says Blowing Snow.

Then when the sun starts shining, the roads gets slick in addition to being terribly windy. Several semi trucks were on their sides. There were lots of emergency vehicles enroute to them.

Snowy Sunday morning

This is the usual routine on Sunday morning so people can get into our driveway. I looked back at Dec 2007 on the blog, and it was much worse! Some had to turn back this morning because of wrecks and slick roads and wind.

Looking back...

Here we all were 7 years ago today.... Scott and Renee.

36 years ago today...

Winter's designs

The snow is falling straight down this morning...not blowing off the deck, so this is the pattern that is left. It is all very pretty and sparkly. I have been hard up for something to post, and hate to disappoint all the folks checking the blog!

Special days

Vernon and Chris moved the bulls home to be worked, then moved them back to their pasture.

Thanksgiving visit

Grandpa enjoyed the stories as much as the boys did.
Jace fell asleep waiting for everyone to get ready.
Amy made the deelicious pie for Thanksgiving dinner!

Jace helping move cattle....Rory fell sound asleep, so he missed out.
