June

We forget to look around us at all of nature's beauty!  Kate recorded this moment June 8.
Fischer is loving the basketball hoop Chris put up. The boys designed and printed basketball jerseys for the "ZN Warriors" and the game began!
George caught one of the first wild iris on camera this morning. We love that color!
Kate takes a yearly iris picture with her kids. Beautiful, as always!
Another Kate photo last night.
We got Brookies delivered into 3 of our lakes. Very interesting for all of us!  There is such good food that they grow quickly. The Pelicans and herons are thinking it was for them!
Wild lightning, thunder, and rain storm June 9. Sure hit this old tree!
I like to record how far along the grass is on the same date year to year. This a hay fever sufferer's nightmare!  That is pollen hanging on all the grass heads.
The bunches of grass are a pretty part of early summer. 8 years ago, we would have been getting the haying equipment ready, I would stock up on groceries, and some of the summer help would be here already. Those were fun days, busy, exciting, and lots of hard work!  We enjoyed having so many young kids helping.
