We started out Monday about 9:30. It seemed like a good percentage of the snowbirds had the same idea. We got held up behind 3 wrecks in different areas, and finally got going in the pouring rain. there were flood warnings along the way, but we saw lots of water off the highway, but it didn't affect us.

| A lot of other people had the same idea! |
We stayed a half hour south of Chattanooga, TN the first night. We managed to hit part of the rush hour there in the morning, and the time changed just in time for us to get into the morning rush hour in Nashville. We drove 14 hours the 2nd day, hit the 5pm rush hour in Kansas City. We got as far as Lincoln NE the second night. About 4 pm, Wed, we pulled into the ranch.

Be it ever so windy, snowy, and cold.....there's NO place like home. Great to see Elk Mtn come into view.
We got home just before a snow storm when the roads were all closed. One of our Florida friends told his wife,,,"What is wrong with some people??!!" |
