Gone hunting....

For those of you wanting an update about George's hunting trip to Alaska, he has no way to send pictures.  He uses his SPOT messenger system to send a latitude and longitude coordinate each morning and evening.  There is a stock message along with it that says "I'm OK".  He was able to call out on a satellite phone (very expensive, the guide has one for emergencies) and said that his hunting partner had gotten a sheep.  George's guide was heading back to Fairbanks, so George was going out with the other guide yesterday.  He has seen lots of sheep, just didn't want to settle for an average one, then see the BIG one later.  The small plane is coming for them on Thursday, so I am sure he will get down to business soon.  They are carrying everything they need on their backs, sleeping out, it is snowing up high and raining.  He has lost quite a bit of weight...you don't over eat freeze dried food :), and they walk miles in rough terrain every day.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I took Jeff and Lisa's kids home from a trip they were on, visited them for a couple of days, saw my sister at her quilt shop, my parents at their farm, and now am home with plans to get a lot done before George comes home.  Will keep you posted.

He flew north of Fairbanks, then farther north of Ft Yukon, almost to the top of Alaska.
