Leaving Eldred's Marina to catch some fish. Funny story about Eldred's marina.....a kind, scruffy looking man waited on them, sold them bait, helped the kids feed tarpon by hand off the dock, George and Jerm thought he looked like he could use a little extra, so tipped him. When they left on the boat, their guide told them the scruffy guy owned the marina and all the land around it with his family!!

Kayaking with Grandpa G is part of the tradition.

They put Nelda's stone in this week. 

Nice enough day that Willis and Nadine Orlinda Heidi could go with Pres to the graveside.

They moved Pres to the long term care wing today. 

Buddy started after a rabbit and caused George to wreck.

Met friends from New York there. The men fished, ladies visited.

This is on a whole street of banyan trees. They are interesting!

It poured rain for a couple of hours last night. This morning it has all soaked in or run off. 

Riding the tram at Shark Valley in the Everglade National Park. Lots of alligators. Dads, Mamas, and babies. 

They are having a drouth down here, so the alligators are out of water. They are in the pools of water by the culverts, so we saw lots!

March 1

I like flightaware.com to see where the plane is. It tells you if it is late or early. 

Nice sight to see the family walking down the hallway. 

Headed to see the beach at Boca Grande. The wind was a little hard on the umbrella. 

Listening to the airboat driver. 

Lisa had to work, so stayed at the house with the computer and phone. The rest of us went airboat riding on the Peace River and spotted quite a few alligators. It was a nice day in the high 70's. 

Larkin took lots of alligator pictures. 

We met several other airboats. 

Supper at Rum Bay tonight. 

Jeff had fish for dinner. 

Allison got to hold an alligator at peace River airboats.

Last week of February

Karen and Dave are expanding the quilt shop. They are poking a hole in the wall into the shop next door. The bricks are multicolored and pretty for the quilt shop. 

It will be messy for awhile, but nice to have over twice as much room. 

The brick layer finished it off nice. 

Supper at Outback with Joe and Jan. So nice to eat outside!

New tradition after Sunday morning meeting. Drive by the canal and spot alligators. We saw 6 this morning. 

Pompano fish. Caught with Mike and Joe. 

Saucer size hibiscus. George is planting a trellis for the bougenvillia. 

Back in Utah, Jerm got 4 feet of new snow on his ski area. They seem to be skiing waist deep powder!!

Chris is hunting mountain lions again. Looks cold and snowy at home. 

When you are ready to go fishing. You just hang the pole out the window!

Sunny days

Joe and Jan are visiting us.  We enjoyed hunting for shark teeth on the beach. The "red tide" made us cough. 

Such a beautiful evening. 

It is strawberry time in Florida now.
