Curiousity almost killed this cat!

We went up north to visit last week, and Grpa G left the door on my storage shed ajar. A few days later, Chris saw it moving in the wind, and shut it tight. Yesterday, Grpa walks by the shed and hears a meow....he opened the door, and who should hop out, but this black cat. We had noticed he wasn't around this week. He often walks up the road to Chris and Kate's house and spends time there, so we didn't think anything about it. He is so happy to be out, that he keeps kissing and hugging Jazz the dog. He puts his arms around Jazz's face and rubs cheeks with her. Jazz isn't all that thrilled about getting hugs and kisses from a cat, but she puts up with it! Soooo the story ended well. Grpa still hasn't gone into the shed to see what kind of trouble the cat made in there.

Out and about...

At Scott and Renee's house, it looks like these mountain lions are climbing the walls...actually, they are just hanging around! (pun) Remember, if you click once on a picture it gets bigger. Click on it again, and it gets bigger yet. Grandpa George and his helper.
We spotted this fellow on a drive not far from the house.

The men and their dogs after a fun morning pheasant hunting. You think it is hard getting people to all look at the camera...try adding 3 dogs! Chet and Chase playing together.

Last week, George and I spent some time with our oldest son and his kids. Mom was out of town visiting with her sister. Clayton and I enjoyed playing some of the hymns together.

My parents and my sister Polly met George and I at sister Karen's quilt shop. We had a lunch and quick visit. Notice the beautiful pink and navy purse on the counter. Polly makes those out of cowboy boot tops.

Windy weather!

The highway department has installed these radio controlled speed limit signs in our area. It is a 55 mile long stretch that is considered one of the worst winter stretches on interstate 80. They can turn them down as far as 35 mph. If you need to go slower, the road is often shut down because of wind and snow blowing across. This is what wind looks like when you mix it with snow. The snow fences are full...the snow is as high or higher than the fence.

The wind blows the snow at the bottom of the mtn here.

Another COLD day in Wyoming....

The mountain turns pink as the sun is setting.
After I took this picture, the temp went on down to -33.6. Ryan Park 40 miles from here had -50 and Woody 5 miles north of us had -40 this morning.
