Oh, the places we've been...

The country here in PA is beautiful. This is around Ed and Brenda's house. The buggies go by on the street all the time. The first couple of nights, I dreamed I was riding in a buggy all night long!! Last night we watched fireflies in the dark.....
We saw this sign often. Several different colors of buggies ....

Grpa G taking a break...

These were parked outside the Amish grocery store.

These were wheat shocks in a field.

I was a big fan of Amish clotheselines...

There were 4 horses hooked to this land leveler...must have pulled a heavy load.

Another clothesline...

Note the bonnet strings blowing in the wind.

Places we've been...

This was really interesting.
You can't drive this if you are courting...this is for a family.

Our friends, Joe and Ann. Niagra falls in the background...

Here we go...

We are staying at an airport motel...$45 on Priceline. We head out early tomorrow morning. This little bag has earplugs, eye mask, and relaxing linen spray!!

Along the way...

We came upon this large rattlesnake on the road 1/2 mile from our house. They are coming way too close!! We worry about the dogs and the kids.

A nice poem about keeping harmony..

We heard this poem at convention last week, and more about keeping "in tune" and "in harmony" it was very helpful. My daughter in law, Lisa, is a fast note taker and sent it to me when i was trying to search for it. thanks, Lisa.

‘Second Fiddle’

The hardest instrument to play,
Is ‘second fiddle’, so they say;
And, I believe that it is so,
I’ve tried, but haven’t mastered though.
It takes more grace than pen can tell
To play the second fiddle well.

To softly play in harmony,
While others shine in melody;
At times to even pause and rest,
As others give their very best.
It takes more grace than pen can tell
To play the second fiddle well.

While others oft are honored so,
It seldom plays a grand solo;
Yet in the background keeps its place,
‘Tis others in the spot-light’s face.
It takes more grace than pen can tell
To play the second fiddle well.

The second fiddle compliments
All of the other instruments;
When faithful to keep time and tone,
‘Tis of great price and worth unknown.
It takes more grace than pen can tell
To play the second fiddle well.

The Master looks for those who He
Can use in His great Symphony;
‘Tis but a few can bend and blend,
On whom He ever can depend.
It takes more grace than pen can tell
To play the second fiddle well.

Saturday

There is a bald eagle at the bottom end of this rainbow. You might see it if you click once.
George and his dad putting the motor in the water after they got past the moss in the lake.
Jazz lending a helping hand. Before they took off, she jumped out and headed to shore to sit with us grandmas!

Summer company

Fischer is enjoying listening to Sally read stories....she is a very good reader and knows all the big words! After the story time, they hopped on the play horses, rode to Alaska, and began shooting bears, elk and moose!
